Better days are ahead for Ogun State Workforce as the Head of Service, Mr Abayomi Sobande has assured them of improved condition of service through various policies and strategies aimed at restructuring the service for better productivity in 2018 fiscal year.
Sobande gave the assurance this while taking his turn to defend 2018 budget estimates of the Bureau of Service Matters, Establishments and Training as well as the State Pensions before members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation led by Hon. Akanbi Bankole.
He affirmed that his office would continue to play its part towards sustaining a well-motivated work force that would continue to complement government’s efforts at implement its cardinal programmes, promising to continue regulating and coordinating procedures of appointment, transfer and discipline in the public service.
Defending the Bureau of Establishments and Training’s budget for 2018, the Head of Service proposed a budget size of N225m out of which N185M was earmarked for recurrent expenditure while the remaining N40m was committed to capital projects as the revenue target was put at N8m.
