Subeb Has Improved Education Development- OGHA

Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has been commended for improving on infrastructural facilities in Public Primary and Junior Secondary Schools, the State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Science and Technology has said.

The Chairman of the Committee, Honourable Oludotun Fasanya who led the Committee during its oversight visit to SUBEB, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noted that the board was able to surmount challenges in spite of the socio-economic challenges confronting the education sector, praising the board for surpassing its budgeted revenue for the year.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Olatunde Okewole, appreciated government for enhancing primary and basic education in the State, pledging the board’s continuous support at delivering qualitative education in the State.

Okewole highlighted some of the achievements of the Board so far to include completion of 128 blocks of classrooms out of 148 earmarked for 2010/2011 intervention fund, rehabilitation and renovation of 236 blocks of classrooms, supply of furniture and equipment to public primary and junior secondary schools across the State, amongst others.
