OPIC Plans Investments In Viable Locations Next Year

Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) plans to expend the sum of N4.5 billion on capital infrastructure in 2018 through selective investment in viable locations.

The Managing Director of the Corporation, Mr. Babajide Odusolu disclosed this in Abeokuta, said the Corporation targeted an improved revenue profile in 2018 and beyond by attracting more investment opportunities, particularly at borderlines, saying it would constantly review its operations to further explore areas of its competitive advantage.

He added that OPIC had continued to review upward its property rents in Abeokuta, Isheri and Ikeja to meet current economic realities, saying ‘’we have continue to review the Ikeja Plaza rental charges and facilities to maximize the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) on rents.’’

The MD said to adequately explore investment opportunities, implement project designs and policies, the Corporation had increased its recurrent expenditure to N667,859,895 in the 2018 budget as against its budget performance of N454,970,006.70 as at October 2017.
