Ogun To Purchase Robotic Fire Fighting Machine

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has disclosed that his administration will not relent at projecting the State as second to none through the provision of necessary social amenities in line with global standard that will enhance the well being of the people.

Governor Amosun who said the State would continue to match forward just as he approved the purchase of a 2million Dollars robotic fire fighting equipment for the state fire service unit in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, revealed this during the Treasury Board Meeting on 2018 budget held at the Oba’s complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the main objective was to ensure the provision of major intervention for combating fire outbreak incidents in the state.

Governor said, “our administration should be looking at getting a robotic fire fighting equipment. This is the latest fire fighting equipment that is been used in the modern world. God forbid, but if there is fire outbreak in the State do we have the latest equipment to put it under control?

‘’By this time next year we should be having five to seven even more high rising buildings in the state, we just must close our eyes and purchase the best and that is why we’re looking out for equipment worth 2million Dollars,’’

Amosun directed the Commissioner for Works, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Engineer Kayode Ademolake to put up a memo for the purchase of  more earth moving equipments for the use of the ministry.

While announcing government’s intention at establishing an asphalt plant, Governor Amosun assured that the 2018 budget would stand out as the best since inception of his administration.
