Ogun State Governor Signs MOU With Lafarge Holcim In France

Governor Of Ogun State,Senator Ibikunle Amosun have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lafarge Africa on the redevelopment of Aworo Forest Reserves and Imeko Games Reserves in Yewa North and Imeko-Afon Local Government Areas of the State respectively
Governor Amosun who was on President Muhammadu Buharis three days official visit to France also ‎met with foreign investors who are willing to do business in Ogun state
Aftermath of the Ogun State governments commitment to partner Lafarge Africa plc in setting up a working committee to develop solutions for waste management, while also establishing a transparent and sustainable legacy on renewable energy when the management visited Ogun State,Nigeria

The planned forest restoration scheme by the two parties is aimed at putting environmental concerns in the front burner and making investment environment in the Gateway State more conducive.

 Both parties have made it real by signing a memorandum of Understanding during Muhammadu Buharis visit to the Headquarters of MEDEF, France’s largest federation of investors and employers

Governor Ibikunle Amosun says it’s government is committed to delivering their electioneering campaign promise as they partner with genuine investors who meant business

Also in the area of affordable housing‎,Senator Ibikunle Amosun says they are also partnering with them

‎One of the trusts of the MOU is for Lafarge to help develop a consistent strategy to reclaim vegetation lost to deforestation and reduce emissions of methane gas from refuse dumps, which, according to him, were 28 times more deadly than CO2 emissions
