Ogun Lawmaker Gives Back To The Society

The lawmaker representing Ikenne State Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusola Sonuga, has given out cash and various gift items to over 1000 widows and orphans, within Ikenne Local Government Area.

Sonuga, who made the donation at his ‘2018 Annual King of Kings Praise Concert, held at Ilisan Ultra Modern Town Hall, Ilisan-Remo, said the gesture was aimed at reaching out to the less privileged in the society, to make them feel a sense of belonging.

“This 2018 Annual King of Kings Praise Concert, is to show gratitude to God Almighty, next is service to humanity, by giving back to the poor and the needy in the society,’’ he said.

He said widows and orphans were given attention this year because of their large number in the community, adding that the gestures would go a long way in providing succour to them.

The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) and Pentecostals Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN) Remo branch, Pastor Akanji Raphael and the Chief Imam of Ilisan Remo, Alhaji Raheem Ajetunmobi, who ministered at the occasion, thanked the lawmaker and the Senator Ibikunle Amosun – led administration for their efforts and support towards the betterment of people’s lives in the State.

The legislator also donated a bus each to Muslim and Christian bodies, mobile medical health clinic to the town’s health centre, free school bus services for pupils, students and teachers to aid their movement.

There was also on the spot free medical check – up for people at the venue of the occasion, to know their blood pressure level while, they were being given free medical advice and drugs.
