The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has applauded the efforts of Ogun State Government, at providing employment opportunities and reducing poverty among the youths, through its various life-changing empowerment programmes.
Director-General of the Fund, Sir Joseph Ari gave the commendation while speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Industrial Skills Development Programme, organised by the ITF in Abeokuta.
Represented by the Director, Finance and Administration of ITF, Mrs. Lola Gbadamosi, the DG commended the State government for creating enabling environment for youth training programmes in the State, urging it not to relent in giving support to ITF.
‘’I wish to express warm appreciation on behalf of the management and the entire staff of the Industrial Training Fund, to His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, for creating enabling environment for us to train youths from your State. We urge you to keep the fire of collaboration between your Government and ITF burning.’’
In his keynote address, the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, appreciated ITF for their initiatives, adding that such trainings and empowerment programmes would go a long way at creating employment opportunities and reducing poverty in the society, particularly among the teeming youths.
Amosun promised that his administration would continue to collaborate with the ITF and other allied agencies to stamp out youth unemployment in the country.
