Be More Proactive,HOS Tells Civil Servants

The Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Abayomi Sobande has charged civil servants in the State to be more proactive and improve on service delivery, towards the development of the State.

Sobande gave this advice at the sent-forth party organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, for the out-gone Permanent Secretary, Dr. Steve Ipinniwa and others who retired from service.

The Head of Service, who acknowledged the contributions of workers in the rebuilding mission, urged them to be more diligent in carrying out their duties, saying, they would be honoured at the right time.

In her remarks, the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs. Adepeju Adebajo described Dr. Ipinniwa, as a loyal, energetic and diligent administrator, who gave his meritorious service to the State, without flinching.

Adebajo said ‘’I congratulate you for a job well done, for all the extra hours you put  to achieve success, for keying into the vision to rebuild and for being dedicated to the success story of the ministry.’’

She added that all the retirees had worked together, to create an enabling environment for work to strive, encouraging other staff to emulate them.

Her counterpart in the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru said the retired Permanent Secretary and other retirees deserved the honour given to them because they had worked to make the ministry, what it is today.

Responding, the out-gone Permanent Secretary, Dr. Steve Ipinniwa thanked the State Government for honouring him, while pleading with the management and staff of the Ministry to extend the support and cooperation given to him to the successor that would be coming.

Other retirees celebrated were Mrs. Agnes Ogunjobi, Mrs Bukola Gbindininuola and Mrs Florence Oyebade
