The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has charged children across the nation to always show love for one another, respect their parents and help others.
Governor Amosun gave the charge when he visited over 180 Young Muslims drawn from the 36 States of the federation who had converged on Obada Oko Area of the State for Summer Camp.
Amosun said if children learn to obey their parents and imbibe the virtues of love from childhood, the home, State and nation at large would experience peace and development.
Speaking on the theme of the camp, “Ending Violence Against Children”, Governor Amosun, enjoined the children to be bold to speak out whenever they were violated, adding that his administration would continue to support initiatives seeking to protect children’s rights.
Speaking with journalists, the representative of the Secretary, National Children Affairs of Nasrul-Lahi-Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Alhaja Nurat Alaraba, said the camping was aimed at teaching children to be bold to speak out whenever they face any form of violence.
