Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, while joining family members, dignitaries and well wishers to celebrate his elder brother, Alhaji Abidoye Amosun, on his 70th birthday in Abeokuta, called for family unity and mutual respect, as no one knows who God has destined to lift up the others.
Eulogising the septuagenarian, Governor Amosun appreciated his brotherly advice and role at ensuring continuous unity in the family, saying all of them have deep love for one another in the family, recalling that the birthday boy, was one of the major poles that brought him up.
Also speaking at the occasion, the wife of the Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunso Amosun expressed her gladness to rejoice with Alhaji Abidoye Amosun, disclosing that the man had always exhibited love towards every member of the family and wanted the progress of his younger brother, the Governor.
She prayed for long life and prosperity for him, saying the rest of his years on earth would be the best ever.
Also in their separate remarks, an elder statesman, Chief Doja Adewolu, and the wife of the first Civilian Governor of Lagos State, Mrs Abimbola Sikirat Jakande, described the celebrant as a humble, simple and down to earth person, commending his support for Senator Amosun.
Prayers were later offered by the league of imams in Abeokuta, for the celebrant, wishing him better years ahead in perfect health.
